The Plough at Manston

A traditional village pub in the heart of Dorset

Peter and Karlene are delighted to invite you to the re-opened Plough Inn at Manston and we look forward to seeing you soon.

We apologise that the renovation and expansion project took much longer than we had originally planned. Rather foolishly we did not anticipate a worldwide pandemic when preparing our project timetable. We also had to deal with some unexpected work to make the West Gable safe, install a sewerage treatment plant and fill in a surprise well, discovered when the foundations were dug.

Anyway, all behind us now and we very much look forward to being open and meeting you all. We hope you will enjoy the refurbished Plough as much as we have enjoyed doing it.

A pub with warmth and atmosphere

The bar and snug have been refreshed but retain all the old features that made this cosy area so attractive. And, by popular demand, we have a new wood burning stove to provide atmosphere and warmth whenever needed!

We have a completely new kitchen, beer cellar and new male, female and disabled washrooms. The old conservatory is now an insulated garden room and we have a new dining area which can accommodate a further twenty guests.

Hearty food and distinctive drinks

Our Chef is building the menu and we’ll have a sample on here as soon as its finalised. We can hardly wait to receive (and sample) our first beer and cider delivery and we’ll have more news of our cask and keg offering in due course. Naturally, we will be offering a wide range of delicious non-alcoholic beverages alongside an impressive wine and spirits range. And, most importantly, we have built a fantastic team to look after our guests and ensure you all have a wonderful time at the Plough

We hope to see you soon and please remember that for the time being that all eating and drinking must be at a table where you will be served and subject to existing Covid restrictions. To accommodate this please ensure that you have made a table reservation.

Cheers!
